Spartans Fall to Terriers in Thursday Matchup

GREENSBORO, N.C.- The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team fell to the Wofford Terriers, 63-45, on Thursday night inside of Fleming Gym.

  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Wofford opened the scoring with a 3-pointer by Jackie Carman.
  • The Spartan's defense held the Terriers scoreless for three minutes.
  • Aja Boyd scored the first pair of points for the Spartans with a second chance jumper.
  • The game remained scoreless for another two minutes.
  • Boyd gave the Spartans a 4-3 lead with 5:33 remaining in the first quarter.
  • Pernilla Sorensen pulled the Spartans within, 15-11 following a 3-pointer with 1:07 remaining in the first quarter.
  • Nitzan Amar banked a 3-pointer as part of a 9-2 UNCG run to begin the second half.
  • CeCe Crudup forced a Terrier turnover and took it to the basket for two points.
  • Isys Grady narrowed the Spartans deficit with a jumper during the Spartans' burst.
  • Boyd and Crudup added to UNCG's total with a pair of layups.
  • Excellanxt Greer stole the ball and drove in for the Spartan's last layup.
  • Wofford won the game 63-45.
