GREENVILLE, S.C.-
Jordan Releford's career night came up short to the Furman Paladins, 64-52, on Monday night in Timmons Arena.
Releford, a sophomore, previously set a career-high of seven points in the Spartans 66-56 win over the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore.
"It feels great," Releford said on setting a career-high. "I wish we could've gotten the win of course but I'm grateful I was able to put the ball in the basket more for my team today. "
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans had a late run in the first quarter to close the deficit to one.
- Jordan Releford scored the first two points for UNCG.
- Amber Redmond added four with back-to-back layups and Pernilla Sorensen capped it off with a three-pointer.
- The Spartans took the lead for a few seconds early in the second quarter off a Releford layup and free throw.
- Furman grew their lead to 13 in the third quarter.
- Sorensen was fouled beyond the arc and was sent to the line for three. She added two points from her trip to the charity stripe.
- The Spartans closed out the game with a 12-5 run. UNCG fell to Furman 64-52.

Releford on her mindset playing Furman twice in three days
"Going into the game I told myself that God already gave me the ability to do anything I needed/wanted to do out there so be confident and just trust myself."
On her mindset defensively
"My mindset on defense was to make anybody I guarded feel me, I wanted them to know that I was there and nothing they tried to do was going to be easy."
