Lyerly Leads UNCG In First Round At The Linger Longer Invitational

EATONTON, Ga. – Nick Lyerly led the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team during the first round of the Linger Longer Invitational Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened

The Spartans are 10th overall after shooting a 298.
Lyerly finished shooting a 73 (+1).
He was a one-under 35 on the front nine.
Lyerly birdied the sixth and ninth holes for the Spartans.
Tommy Lamb finished with a two-over 74.
Lamb eagled the par-5 557-yard sixth hole.
He added a birdie on the eighth hole.
That helped Lamb finish one under 35 on the front nine.
Zack Swanson shot a three-over 75.
Swanson birdied the first, 11th, and 17th holes.
Symon Balbin's four-over 76 performance was highlighted by a birdie on the 14th hole.
Randall Hudson was also four-over 76.
Andrew Graham competed as an individual.
