DAVIDSON, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team battled in-state rivals Davidson College Friday night at Alumni Soccer Stadium, where the two teams ended in a 0-0 draw. This was the final exhibition before UNCG begins its regular season slate.
The Spartans recorded their second clean sheet out of their three exhibitions this season. UNCG did not give up many chances to Davidson, and the Spartans were able to create many good moments, but were unable to execute in front of the goal.
"Last night was a very good test for us. Davidson is a difficult team to play against so it felt like a regular season game, which is exactly what we needed. We were excellent in the first half, and were just ok in the second half. We need to work more towards consistency and having complete games as we prepare for next Thursday."
