CHARLESTON, S.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball's
Taylor Robertson tallied 23 total kills over the Spartans' two Saturday afternoon matches in the Chucktown Throwdown at Charleston Southern. The Spartans dropped the first match to College of Charleston, 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-17), and the final match to Charleston Southern, 3-0 (25-13, 28-26, 25-17).
Robertson earned her third All-Tournament Team recognition following her performance this weekend.Â
"We had moments of good play this weekend," stated head coach
Corey Carlin. "There were times we were clicking and making consistent plays. We had sets in each match where we competed hard. But there were also times our inexperience showed and our first contacts were inconsistent. We've got to get better there, to have longer stretches of consistent play and not getting impatient, especially on offense. We'll embrace that process to get to the level we need to be at in November."
