ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team finished the first two rounds of the French Broad Collegiate hosted by UNC Asheville (UNCA) tied for fifth, with a score of 41-over-par (609).
 
Ava Romfo led the Spartans, scoring nine-over-par (151). Following two birdies in the first round, Romfo's score continued to impress with five birdies in the second round.
 
Sophomore Julia Baeumken carded one birdie in each round to post a 10-over-par (152) score and is tied for 18^th.
 
Elle Burnette and Grace Holcomb each posted 12-over-par (154) performances after their first and second-round efforts. Holcomb posted five birdies for UNCG while Burnette carded one birdie in round one and two in the second round. The effort helped Burnette post a four-over-par (75) to lead the Spartans after round one. 
 
Alexandra Phelps rounded out UNCG with a score of 14-over par (156), tied for 33rd.
