Men’s Soccer & UNCW Face Off on Tuesday

GREENSBORO, N.C. –  The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team will conclude a three-game road stretch with a battle against in-state non-conference foe UNC Wilmington on Tuesday, October 10 with a start time of 7:00 p.m. at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Spartans enter the contest 1-8-3 overall and 0-2-0 in the SoCon, while the Seahawks are 5-3-3 overall and 1-2-2 in the CAA.

SPARTAN QUICK HITTERS
  • Ethan Conley and Nabil Homssa lead the team with four points each. Conley has scored two goals, while Homssa has tallied one goal and two assists.
  • Colton Sessoms is third on the team with three points (1 G, 1 A).
  • Eight different Spartans have tallied at least one point this season, with six different players scoring at least one goal.

  • Gabe Mercer is leading the offensive charge with four goals and one assist for nine points.
  • Ethan Newsome is second on the team with three goals and two assists for eight points.
  • Jacob Randolph has started every minute in net for the Seahawks, giving up 12 goals with 1.09 goals against average and 30 saves.
  • Randolph is nationally 13th in shutouts (5) and 64th in goals against average (1.09).
The Spartans conclude their regular season schedule with four-straight games at home. UNCG will host Wofford on Saturday, October 14 at the UNCG Soccer Stadium with a 7:00 p.m. start time.
