GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's soccer team welcomes four to the class of 2028 on National Signing Day on Wednesday, November 8
th.
Avery Barr, Bryanna Parkes hail from North Carolina, while Morgan Shively, comes to UNCG from Virgina and Nicole Hutchinson from South Carolina, forming the class of 2028.
"We are really excited to add these four signatures to our team, they are very high-level players," stated Head Coach
Michael Coll. "We are absolutely certain that they will compete and contribute to our returning group immediately as freshmen."
"It's a small class size of only four but each of them will bring huge desire, talent and ability to our team and we look forward to them getting here and helping us get back to the top of the SoCon."
Avery Barr
Wilmington, N.C. | John T. Hoggard High School
- Plays club for Wilmington Hammerheads ECNL
- Named to the NCHSAA MEC All-Conference in 20-21, 21-22, 22-23
- Earned NCSCA 1st Team All-Region in 21-22 & 22-23
- 22-23 NCSCA 1st Team All-State & All-Region
- She was a two-time ECNL National Playoff player.
Bryanna Parkes
Wake Forest, N.C. | Heritage High School
- Plays club for NC Courage Academy ECNL
- Earned All-Conference honorable mention
Morgan Shively
Haymarket, Va. | Battlefield High School
- Plays club for Fairfax Brave ECNL
- She was named to the All-District team
- Her accolades include helping her team to a state finalist, state semi-finalist, and to becoming a three-time district champ.
Nicole Hutchinson
Greenville, S.C. | Powdersville High School
- Plays club for CESA ECNL
- Her team won the Regional Championship and Upper State Championship.
