Quick Hitters for the Spartans
- UNCG heads into the first round of the Tournament as the No. 9 seed after ending the regular season with a 1-26 overall record and 0-16 in the SoCon.
- The Spartans dropped its final two matches of the regular season to Furman and Western Carolina over straight sets in Fleming Gymnasium
- Mallory Meers led the Spartans as the setter after recording 18 assists and a 3.00 assists per set average over six sets. She added two service aces and five digs on the week.
- Aylin Baran led the Spartans on the offensive end last weekend with 14 kills and a 2.33 kills per set average over six sets. She added 2.0 total blocks, three digs and two service aces on the week.
- Avery Sziksai led the Spartans on the defensive end last week after recording 25 digs for a 4.17 digs per set average in six sets. Sziksai added three assists and three service aces on the week.
- Baran finished on top for the Spartans in the regular season after notching 275 kills as a freshman.
- Daija Jackson leads on the defensive end with 52.0 total blocks.
- Meers and Izora Gragg have tag teamed as setters throughout the season with a collective 764 assists. Â
- Head Coach Felicia Turner gained her first win as a head coach on Friday, Sept. 8 with a 3-0 sweep over USC Upstate at the Black & Gold Classic, hosted by App State
Scouting ETSU
The Bucs concluded the regular season with a 5-22 overall record and 5-11 in the SoCon. All five of ETSU's wins this season have come in conference play with two over UNCG and the other three against Wofford, Western Carolina and Chattanooga.

ETSU is currently on a four-game losing streak. The last time the Bucs claimed a win was in a five-set thriller over UNCG in Fleming Gymnasium.

Malgorzata Andersohn leads the Bucs in three statistical categories this season with 319 digs, 660 assists and 27 service aces. Brianna Cantrell sits on top as a hitter with 286 kills, while Abbey Thomas leads the squad with 96.0 total blocks.
