GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team fought a tough doubles battle before falling to Presbyterian, 0-7, at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.
To begin the match, each doubles court played close games. Court one finished first as the Blue Hose pairing of Max Benson and Dusan Milanovic topped the Spartans' pairing of
David Flisberg and
John Gabelic, 6-4.
Christopher Johns and
Tymofiy Khrystyuk, on court two, forced a tiebreaker set after playing to a score of 6-7. Presbyterian's Sebastian Dominguez and Javier Matos came up on top in the tiebreaker, 7-2.
With the doubles point decided,
Harrison Gwynn and
Devon Moskowitz stopped their match with a score of 6-6 in number three doubles.
The Blue Hose took all six singles points, as Khrystyuk was the only Spartan that won a set. He fell 4-6, won 6-1, and then fell 7-5 in a third set.
