GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team fell to Southern Conference (SoCon) for ETSU, 7-0, in its second conference match of the season.
ETSU won the doubles point with victories on courts one and three behind scores of 6-4 and 6-2. The Spartans doubles pairing of
Christopher Johns and
Tymofiy Khrystyuk earned their first SoCon win with a score of 6-4.
Five of the six singles matches went to two sets, where the Buccaneers came up on top in all of them. In number one singles,
David Flisberg forced a first-set tiebreaker but ended up falling, 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.
Khrystyuk was the lone match that went to three sets. ETSU's Adam Nagoudi won the first set, 6-2, as Khrystyuk won the second set with the same score. In the third set, Nagoudi took down Khrystyuk in the third frame, 6-2.
