GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team fell to Southern Conference opponent The Citadel, 5-2, on Wednesday afternoon at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
UNCG doubles team of
Christopher Johns and
Tymofiy Khrystyuk continued their three-match win streak with a score of 6-3, earning the first point for the Spartans. The Citadel then won the doubles point with two scores of 6-4 on courts one and three.
The Spartans' Khrystyuk and Johns gained the two wins for UNCG in singles. Khrystyuk won in straight sets with scores of 6-3, 6-4, first, while Johns was second with scores of 6-2, 4-6.
Sebastian Kamienicki was the first singles win for the Bulldogs, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2. The next three singles matches went three sets, where The Citadel earned each win.
