WALLACE, N.C. - Julia Baeumken and Anna Bowman each posted a seven-over-par 36-hole tally, entering the top-20 on the leaderboard, as the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team is in a tie for sixth after two rounds of the River Landing Classic at River Landing Golf Course, hosted by UNC Wilmington.
 
Starting the first round on the tenth tee, Bowman earned the Spartans low round with Grace Holcomb at four-over-par (76). The senior carded two front birdies with the first coming on the par four, 368-yard opening hole. Bowman took advantage of the par three, 141-yard sixth hole on her way to the team's first round low score. All three of Bowman's second round birdies came on the front nine in a stretch where she birdied three out of four holes. Bowman recorded her second-straight birdie on the sixth hole and added a birdie on the par five, 488-yard fifth, and the par four, 352-yard eighth. Bowman settled in a tie for 19th place with a 36-hole tally of seven-over-par (151).
 
Baeumken recovered from a first round eight-over-par scorecard with a second round one-under-par (71). The freshman only bogeyed one hole in the entire second round and carded an unblemished back nine scorecard at one-under-par (35). Baeumken's lone birdie on the side came at the par four, 367-yard 12th hole. The freshman closed the round with a birdie on the par four, 352-yard eighth hole. That second round finish helped Baeumken climb 27 spots on the leaderboard and settle in a tie for 19th place at seven-over-par through 36 holes.
 
Victoria Cook and Holcomb each stand in a tie for 28th place at nine-over-par (153) through 36 holes. Holcomb's day featured an unblemished front nine scorecard where she birdied the par four, 349-yard fourth hole. Cook carded two back nine birdies in the second round for her nine-hole low (one-over-par, 37) for the day. The junior produced birdies in two of three holes late in the back nine, her first nine holes of the day, with birdies on the 16th and 18th holes.

Ava Romfo posted a team-low score during round one of three-over-par (75). She had three birdies on the back nine during the round. Romfo then carded one birdie during round two on the par-three 157-yard hole three. 
 
UNCG stood in a tie for sixth with Princeton at 27-over-par (603), carding a seven-over-par (299) second round effort. The Spartans are two shots behind East Tennessee State, Elon, and High Point who are all in a tie for third place.

The Spartans finish the 54-hole River Landing Classic tomorrow morning with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. UNCG will be paired with in-state rivals High Point and Elon beginning at hole five.
