CONWAY, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team fell continued its non-conference schedule with a 6-1 loss to Coastal Carolina on Sunday.
The Chanticleers swept all three doubles to earn the point.
Coastal Carolina won courts six, two, three, and four, respectively in two sets.
Arina Babkova on court one fought a close battle against the Chanticleers' Victoire De Samucewicz, but the Chanticleer won with scores 7-5, and 6-1.
No. 5 singles was the final court playing, where
Alexandra Dodashev was the eventual winner for the Spartans' only point on the day. Dodashev took set one, 7-5 and fell 2-6 in set two. Forcing a 10-point tiebreaker after the split, Dodashev came up victorious 10-7 for her fourth singles win of the season.
UNCG's one-match week includes a Southern Conference (SoCon) battle against ETSU on Friday, March 10 in Johnson City, Tennessee with a start time of 1 p.m. at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex.
