LEXINGTON, VA. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team picked up a 5-4 victory over Washington & Lee on Tuesday afternoon.
The Generals claimed wins across all three doubles matches to open competition.
Five of the Spartans singles matches were victories.
John Gabelic,
Tymofiy Khrystyuk,
Christopher Johns, and
Andrew Black each claimed wins in two set.
David Flisberg, in No. 1 singles, was the only Spartan win in three sets with scores of 7-5, 2-6, and 6-3.
Wyatt Cannon, in No. 6 singles, fought a back-and-forth match in three sets, including a third-set tiebreaker, but ultimately fell, 6-0, 3-6, 6-7 (5-7).
