GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team dominated Greensboro rival NC A&T, 6-2, on Wednesday, afternoon at the UNCG Tennis Courts in a non-conference match.
Juliana Craft and
Hanna Giddings took the first win in doubles going 6-0 on court two.
Olivia Gallagher and
Raegan Mitchell were victorious on court three with a 6-1 score to seal the doubles point for UNCG.
Arina Babkova and
Alexandra Dodashev finished out doubles play with a 6-4 win on court one.
The last time UNCG won all three doubles matches was on February 9, 2022 in Greensboro in a 4-3 win over NC Central.
Craft was the first to finish singles play winning 6-4, 6-2. She was followed by Gallagher's 7-5, 6-3 victory at number four singles.
Luna Urso won 6-2 in both sets, continuing the streak for UNCG making the score 4-0.
The Aggies picked up a 0-6, 6-2, and 6-2 win at number one singles and then a 6-2, 7-5 victory on court two.
The match finished with Mitchell beating her opponent in a tough battle going 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 to bring the final score to 5-2.
