GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis teams finished regular season play with a 6-1 loss to Southern Conference (SoCon) foe Mercer on Sunday morning at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
Mercer was off to a strong start winning the first two doubles matches, 6-4 on court one and 6-3 on court two, to secure the point. In court three,
Olivia Gallagher and
Raegan Mitchell forced a tiebreaker, with the Bears ultibately coming out on top, 7-6 (8-6).
Continuing its stride, Mercer took the first six singles matches in two sets. Mitchell had the lone singles win for UNCG with a score of 6-4, 6-2. With the win clinched, the Bears won the final court with the score of 7-5, 6-2.
