ALAMANCE, N.C. -The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf powered through its first and second rounds on Monday in its season opener to lead the 15-team field at the Elon Women's Invitational in first place at Alamance Country Club. The Spartans have a two-round total of 575, which is three strokes over host Elon (578) and five shots over Radford and William & Mary (580).
 
Junior Grace Holcomb posted a two-under-par (140) performance in the 36-hole day, to tie for first after two rounds. Holcomb posted a team-low score of 69 in the second round.
 
With a score of one over par, Julia Baeumken tallied a score of 143 to place tied for seventh after rounds one & two. She moved up the leaderboard with her one-under-par (70) performance during round two.
 
As an individual Freshman Elle Burnette is tied for 18^th place at four-over-par (146). Sophomore Alexandra Phelps is also tied for 18th through 36 holes.
 
Senior Victoria Cook and Junior Ava Romfo round out the Spartans' score by tying for 33^rd at seven-over-par (149).
