VAIL, Colo. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team moved up four spots on the leader board and is 10th after round two of the GolfWeek Red Sky Classic on Tuesday in Colorado.
Following par on the 10th hole to begin the round,
Grace Holcomb made back-to-back birdies. She later carded an eagle on the 512-yard 18th hole to finish the back nine three-under-par for the day. The junior added another birdie on the front nine to post a two-under-par (70) score and is tied for 26th overall.
Ava Romfo posted a score of three-over-par (75) for the day moving up 19 spots and is tied for 45
th overall. The junior posted two birdies on the back nine and two more following the turn on the front nine.
Julia Baeumken highlighted her round with an eagle on the 512-yard hole 18 before posting a birdie on the 170-yard seventh hole. She is tied for 51st with a score of 11-over-par (155) overall.
Victoria Cook carded a six-over-par (78) and is tied for 65th overall.
Elle Burnette is tied 68
th following her second round performance of eight-over-par (80). Burnette made her lone birdie on the par five, 512-yard 18th hole.
The Spartans posted a 32-over-par (608) team score through the second round. UNCG stands 10th out of 16 teams and surpassed The Southern Conference (SoCon) foe ETSU, who is currently in 11th place. The Spartans are five strokes behind Wofford and nine strokes behind Mercer.
