GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's and women's track teams return to competition this weekend as they first will run at The Burg Open on Friday, January 12 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
The Spartans will follow that meet with the Mondo College Invitational on Saturday, January 13 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

LAST TIME OUT
- UNCG kicked off the indoor season at the JDL Fast Track for two meets.
- At the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-Off on December 2, three women student-athletes say personal bests, including Naomi Pridgen, Madison McMasters, and Laila Burk.
- Ward was one of four Spartans to earn a top-10 finish. He placed seventh out of 39 in the mile.
- Abdullahi placed third in the 800-meter run.
- UNCG then competed in the JDL Early Bird Invitational the next day.
- Freshman Samuel Barnard won the 1,000-meter run breaking the meet record as well as placing his time second in the UNCG record book.
- Sophomore Evan Pena won the 5000-meter run.
- Shay Soukup won the 800-meter run.
UP NEXT
The Spartans will take a week off before returning to action. UNCG will compete in the two day Camel City Invitational from January 26-27 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
