GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team extended its home win streak to seven with a 70-54 victory over ETSU on Saturday evening at the Greensboro Coliseum in The Southern Conference (SoCon) play.
 
Three Spartans tallied double figures, including Mikeal Brown-Jones who tallied a game-high 14 points. Keyshaun Langley chipped in 10 points, while Jalen Breath registered his first-career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
 
This was the 11th game this season, where three or more Spartans recorded double-digit points. The 7-0 start at home matches the start of the 2018-19 season, when UNCG went 7-0.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans had a big 12-0 run to start the game, not allowing a point from ETSU until 16:39. After some back-and-forth play, UNCG saw its second double-figure lead with 7:17 left on the clock and four-straight points from Brown-Jones, 25-15. ETSU went on a 16-8 run starting at 6:57 cutting the deficit to two, 33-31, before heading to the locker room. This was the smallest gap of the first half.
 
The Bucs made a free throw to start the second half, cutting the deficit to one, 33-32, but the Spartans' offense bounced back. At 8:52, Keyshaun drained his first three pointer of the game. This basket was the start of a 19-2 run, where 10 of the points came from Keyshaun. With the stretch, the Spartans climbed to a 21-point advantage for their largest lead of the game, 67-46. With only 2:56 left on the clock, ETSU went on an 8-3 run, but UNCG ultimately came out on top, 70-54,

• Keyshaun also added six assists, matching his season high.
• Breath's double-double is the fifth of the season for the Spartans. His 11 rebounds is a career high.

• UNCG outrebounded ETSU, 44-31.
• The Spartans shot 46.7-percent from field goal range, compared to the Bucs' 33.9-percent.
• UNCG had 21 bench points, while ETSU had eight.
