WEST PALM, FLA. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team is second after the opening round of its own Advance Golf Partners Collegiate at Hammock Creek Golf Club in West Palm, Florida.
TEAM
- The Spartans finished the first round of the three-day tournament with a six-over-par (294) performance.
- Morehead State is leading the way with a two-over-par (290) score, while Jacksonville State rounds out the top three teams with its seven-over-par (295) tally.
- UNCG tallied 47 pars as a team.
- All eight Spartans recorded 16 birdies on day one.
INDIVIDUAL
- Junior Ava Romfo is tied for first on the player leaderboard after a four-under-par (68) performance.
- Romfo is tied for third in birdies made with four.
- Freshman Elle Burnette ended the day one-over-par (73) and is tied for 11th.
- Junior Grace Holcomb notched a two-over-par (74) score in the opening round and is tied for 13th.
- Graduate student Anna Bowman, competing as an individual, is tied for 26th overall with a four-over-par (76) score.

The Spartans will play the second round of the tournament tomorrow, Monday, February 12 teeing off at 7:30 a.m.
