WEST PALM, FLA. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team has two in the top five after two rounds of play in the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate on Monday.
 
Junior Ava Romfo and graduate student Anna Bowman lead the Spartans in a three-way tie for fifth place after a very windy day on the course.
 
TEAM

• The Spartans fell six spots to eighth place out of 14 teams totaling 42-over-par (618) after two rounds.
• Jacksonville State leads the way with a 16-over-par (592) performance following two rounds.
• Morehead State is second with an 18-over-par (594) finish, while Elon is third totaling 19-over-par (595) following the two rounds.
• The Spartans made 11 birdies on the day and one eagle.

 
INDIVIDUAL

• Bowman climbed 21 spots after her two-under-par (70) performance during round two. She led the leaderboard today with the best score, and was just one of three competitors with an under-par scorecard.  
• She made three birdies and one eagle on the day. She is one of four competitors to card an eagle so far.
• Romfo fell four spots with her six-over-par (78) score, making one birdie on the second hole.
• Freshman Elle Burnette fell seven spots and is in a four-way tie for 18^th place after a seven-over-par (79) day.
• Junior Grace Holcomb is tied for 35^th place with a 12-over-par (156) total.
• Junior Gabriela Cruz and senior Victoria Cook are in a six-way tie for 44^th place with a score of 14-over-par (158).

 
UP NEXT
The Spartans will play the final round of the tournament tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13 with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
