CONWAY, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team took a 7-0 loss at Coastal Carolina on Friday at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
The Chanticleers were able to claim the doubles point with back-to-back dominating matches, 6-1, 6-0.
John Gabelic and
David Flisberg closed out doubles action in a competitive 7-6 loss to Carlos Berna Ruiz and Lucas Wayenburg.
Coastal Carolina earned all six singles points in the contest. However, there were a few matches that the Spartans pushed to three sets. First on court four, Gabelic went back-and-forth with Tripathi, 6-4, 2-6, 10-8. Flisberg added on another three-set battle with Ata Ryuya on court one, 6-4, 1-6, 6-2, ultimately going the way for Ryuya.
Tejas Wall closed out the final matchup of the day in an exciting game with Guilherme Toresan, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 on court three.
