Men's Tennis Falls at ETSU in SoCon Opener

JOHNSON CITY, TENN.  – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 contest at ETSU on Monday in The Southern Conference (SoCon) opener at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex.

The Bucs were able to start the day off by gaining the doubles point for the 1-0 lead. Despite this, John Gabelic and David Flisberg put up a competitive 7-6 contest with Dimitri Badra and Adam Nagoudi, ultimately going in the favor of ETSU.

The Bucs continued its momentum into singles play by earning the first five singles matchups to clinch the match. However, Tejas Wall was able to get the Spartans on the board over a three-set battle with James Sim, 6-1, 3-6, 7-5.

Wall's singles win on Monday was the freshman's first win on the 2024 spring slate.

UP NEXT
The Spartans will continue SoCon action by hosting Furman on Friday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
