DORADO, PUERTO RICO – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team claimed first place at the Dorado Beach Collegiate after carding a 37-under-par (539) in the two-day tournament. The third round of the tournament was canceled due to weather.
TEAM
- The Spartans' recorded an 18-under-par (269) in the first round and a 19-under-par (269) in the second round of the tournament.
- UNCG paced all 17 teams with six total eagles and a 4.13 par five average over the two round tournament.
INDIVIDUAL
- All Spartans earned a combined under-par score in the two rounds.
- Randall Hudson finished in second place with a 13-under-par (131) after shooting a six-under-par (66) on Monday.
- After moving up nine spots, Symon Balbin claimed a tie for fifth place with a nine-under-par (135). Noah Connor and Tommy Lamb also tied with Balbin with an overall score of nine-under-par (135) in the two rounds.
- Jack Marcotte moved up a solid 15 spots from his previous placing in the first round, finishing in a tie for 19th place with a six-under-par (138) after recording a four-under-par (68) in the second round.
- Keenan Royalty comes just in behind Marcotte with a five-under-par (139).
- Kelvin Hernandez rounds out the scorecard for the Spartans finishing in a tie for 28th place after recording an overall score of four-under-par (140), moving up six spots from his previous position.
- Connor, Lamb and Hernandez each collected two eagles apiece in the tournament.
