GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 battle to James Madison on Sunday at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
Tymofiy Khrystyuk and
Luke Thomson were able to start the contest off by claiming the first doubles match, 6-2. However, James Madison was able to bounce back by winning the next two doubles matches for the 1-0 lead.
The Dukes earned the first singles match for the 1-0 lead before
Khrystyuk put the Spartans on the board with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Youssef Sadek on court one. However, James Madison was able to win the next two singles contests to claim the match at 4-1.
John Gabelic added another point for UNCG over a three-set battle on court four, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Luke Thomson closed out the match to give the Spartans their third point, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (6).
