HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team concluded round one of the Low Country Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford, in eighth place out of 16 teams on Friday at Moss Creek Golf Club on Friday.
TEAM
- The Spartans are eighth overall in the 16-team tournament.
- UNCG finished with a 26-over-par (314) score.
- The Southern Conference (SoCon) foe ETSU is first overall with an 11-over-par (299) score.
- Western Carolina is third, while Wofford is fourth and The Citadel is in 16th place.
INDIVIDUAL
- Grace Holcomb is pacing the Spartans and is tied for seventh out of 90 competitors.
- Holcomb finished round one with a three-over-par (75) performance making one birdie on the 346-yard 12th hole.
- Ava Romfo is tied for 22nd with her score of six-over-par (78).
- Julia Baeumken is tied for 36th after her first-round score of eight-over-par (80).
- Elle Burnette made two birdies on the back nine and finished round one with a score of nine-over-par (81), tying for 43rd overall.
- Anna Bowman rounded out the Blue & Gold with a 13-over-par (85) performance, tying for 71st, also making two birdies on the back nine.
UP NEXT
The Spartans will compete in round two tomorrow, Saturday, March 16 with a tee time of 8:30 a.m. UNCG will be paired with Appalachian State and USC Upstate, who are in seventh in ninth places, respectively.
