GREENVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team fell in a 6-1 contest at East Carolina on Thursday at the River Birch Tennis Complex.
The Pirates got on the board by claiming the doubles point after earning both matches on courts one and two.
East Carolina continued its momentum into singles play by coming away with the first five singles matches to gain the 6-0 lead over the Spartans to ultimately clinch the match.
Arina Babkova finished the match by getting the Spartans on the board on court one with a win over Kim Auersawald, 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.

The Spartans will return home to host UMass on Saturday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.
