GREENSBORO, N.C. - The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 match to UMass on Saturday at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.
Arina Babkova and
Juliana Craft were honored in a special senior day ceremony prior to Saturday's match against the UMass.
Babkova and
Raegan Mitchell started off the contest in a dominating doubles win over Danielle Hack and Thamo Jonglertraku on court one, 6-1. However, UMass was able to bounce back by claiming the next doubles matches for the 1-0 lead over the Spartans.
Hack started off singles action with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Babkova on court one to give UMass the 2-0 advantage.
Lauren Thomson brought the Spartans back into the match with a 6-4, 6-0 win on court five, cutting the deficit to one, 2-1. UMass was able to respond by claiming the final four singles matches for the 6-1 win over the Spartans.

The Spartans will continue in Greensboro by hosting Furman on Thursday, March 28 at 1 p.m. at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
