HUMACAO, PUERTO RICO. – Following the second round of the Puerto Rico Classic, the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team moved up two positions on Wednesday to sit fifth overall.
TEAM
- The Spartans are behind four teams with an overall score of 14-over-par (590).
- The team carded a five-over-par (293) in the second round on Wednesday after shooting a nine-over-par (297) in the first round.
- As a team, UNCG has made two eagles in the tournament, and have an average of 4.75 in par fives.
- California Baptist and Florida Golf Coast are currently in a tie for first place after achieving an overall score of six-over-par (582) in the first two rounds.
INDIVIDUAL
- Ava Romfo continues to stand atop the leaderboard with a five-under-par (139). Romfo shot a five-under-par (67) in round one and an even par (72) in the second round.
- Romfo leads all individuals with 11 birdies and a 4.00 average on par fives.
- Elle Burnette follows in behind Romfo in a tie for 12th place. Burnette recorded a one-under-par (71) in the second round for an overall score of two-over-par (146).
- Julia Baeumken stands in a tie for 33rd place with a nine-over-par (153).
- Anna Bowman climbed 12 positions and is tied for 39th with an overall score of 10-over-par (154) after two rounds.
- Grace Holcomb rounds out the scorecard for the Spartans with a 15-over-par (159) in 59th place.
