CHARLESTON, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team fell in a 5-2 matchup at The Citadel on Friday at Earle Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs were able to claim the first doubles match. However,
John Gabelic and
David Flisberg earned the 6-3 victory over Sebastian Kamieniecki and Hayden Shoemake on court one to tie doubles at one win apiece. The Citadel bounced back to claim the final doubles match to head into singles play up 1-0.

The Citadel continued its momentum into singles play to earn the first two matches for the 3-0 lead. However, Flisberg was able to earn the 7-6 (4), 6-1 matchup over Kamieniecki on court two to put the Spartans on the board. The Citadel claimed the next singles point to clinch the match. However,
Devon Moskowitz added another point for the Spartans on court five, 7-6 5-7, 10-6. The Bulldogs claimed the final singles match on the day for the 5-2 win.

The Spartans will return home to host James Madison on Sunday, March 10 at 1 p.m. at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
