GREENVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team was one of a group of teams that fully completed rounds one and two on Monday in the Ironwood Invitational at Ironwood Golf and Country Club.
TEAM
- UNCG finished day one of competition with a 29-over-par (605) score.
- With a few teams wrapping up play tomorrow morning, the Spartans are currently in a two-way tie for fourth with Old Dominion.
- Delaware, East Carolina, and James Madison all will finish round one tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. before everyone begins round three.
- UNCG is leading the way with 118 pars.
INDIVIDUAL
- After a three-over-par (75) first round for Ava Romfo, the junior posted a two-over-par (74) during round two.
- She is leading the Spartans and is in a tie for 11th with a five-over-par (149) total.
- Sophomore Julia Baeumken bounced back in round two after her five-over-par (77) round one score. During round two, she had a one-over-par (73) performance with three birdies.
- Baeumken is currently tied for 15th overall.
- Freshman Elle Burnette is close behind and is in a tie for 20th after a seven-over-par (79) first round score and an even-par (72) second-round performance.
- Junior Grace Holcomb is tied for 49th overall and is 12-over-par (156).
- Graduate student Anna Bowman climbed 10 positions after round two play and has totaled a 13-over-par (157) score.
- Senior Victoria Cook is tied for 83rd overall.
