RALEIGH, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team closed out the 2023-24 regular season by finishing second at the Stitch Intercollegiate on Saturday with a 23-over-par (875).
TEAM
- UNCG carded rounds of 293-290-292 over the three-round tournament to earn second place out of 12 total schools competing.
- Host school, N.C. State claimed first place at the tournament, five-strokes in front of UNCG with an 18-over-par (870).
- UNCG finished on top in two statistical categories with a 4.80 average in par fives and a total of 45 birdies.
INDIVIDUAL
- Jack Marcotte moved up a total of 19 positions from the first two rounds for himself and Randall Hudson to finish in a tie for sixth place after carding a six-over-par (219). Marcotte and Hudson's best score of the tournament was a one-under-par (70).
- Kelvin Hernandez, Symon Balbin and Tommy Lamb followed in behind for each to finish in a tie for ninth place after shooting a seven-over-par (220).
- Balbin finished on top with three other individuals with a 4.58 par fives average.
- Noah Connor earned a nine-over-par (222) to round out the tournament in a tie for 18th place.
- Andrew Graham came behind Connor to finish in a tie for 53rd place with a 21-over-par (234).
- Samuel Davidson rounded out the scorecard for the Spartans in a tie for 69th place after recording a 28-over-par (241).
