HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team is sitting in fifth place after round one of The 2024 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship at Moss Creek on Sunday.
TEAM
- UNCG totaled 21-over-par (309) in the first round.
- The Spartans are leading the field with a 3.00 average in par threes.
- East Tennessee State University is in first place after its five-over-par (293) first round score.
- Western Carolina is in fourth place with a 17-over-par (305), while Wofford is right behind the Spartans after its 22-over-par (310) first round.
INDIVIDUAL
- Grace Holcomb is in a four-way tie for seventh after her two-over-par (74) round one score.
- Ava Romfo and Elle Burnette are tied for 22nd following their six-over-par (78) first round performances.
- Burnette is pacing the field with her 2.50 average in par threes.
- Anna Bowman sits in a four-way tie for 28th after her seven-over-par (79) scorecard, which included two birdies on the back nine.
- Victoria Cook is tied for 40th.
