GREENVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team concluded the Ironwood Intercollegiate in fourth place with a 45-over-par (909) team score.
This is the Spartans' fourth top-five finish of the season.
TEAM
- UNCG totaled 16-over-par (304) during the final round of the tournament.
- The Spartans finished one stroke over Elon and Richmond who tied for fifth overall.
- Host team, East Carolina, took home the team title with a 21-over-par (885) performance, while Delaware was second with a 26-over-par (890) and James Madison rounded out the top three with a 32-over-par (896).
- The Spartans totaled 175 pars to lead the tournament.
- They were tied for second with James Madison in par threes with a 3.27 average.
INDIVIDUAL
- Ava Romfo was second in the tournament with a total of 39 pars.
- Romfo was five-over-par (77) during round three to total 10-over-par (226) over the three rounds tying for 17th place overall.
- Elle Burnette climbed three spots after her three-over-par (75) third round score to tie for 17th with Romfo.
- Julia Baeumken finished in a five-way tie for 22nd overall with her 11-over-par (227) performance.
- She also finished round three with a five-over-par (77) scorecard.
- Grace Holcomb climbed eight spots with her three-over-par (75) third round score to tie for 41st in the tournament. She made two birdies in the final round.
- Anna Bowman tied for 65th overall with a 21-over-par (237) performance, while Victoria Cook tied for 73rd with a 25-over-par (241) score over three rounds.
