GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 19 UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, to take on No. 10 North Carolina State at Dail Soccer Stadium on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. The Wolfpack enters this match with a 7–1-1 home record.  

SERIES HISTORY VS NC STATE  
This matchup dates back to 1980, when UNCG was still in DIII. The series is tied 5-5-0 all-time. The last matchup was in 2012, where No. 23 ranked NC State took the 3-1 victory in Raleigh, North Carolina.  
 
ABOUT THE SPARTANS      

• The Spartans were voted first in the 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning four out of the six first-place votes and totaling 24 points.     

• UNCG ranks 22nd in RPI with a 3-0-3 record against Quad 1 and Quad 2 teams this year.   

• Head Coach Chris Rich is 4-3-7 in Top 25 matchups in his career at UNCG, with his biggest win against No.2 Clemson on Sept 21, 2021.  

• This is the Spartans' third-ranked team faced this season. 

• UNCG enters this matchup with a 2-0-1 record against North Carolina schools this season.   

• Enzo Dovlo was named to the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List,on October. 10  with eight goals and six assists this season.   

• Dovlo is nationally ranked 13th in points (22), 16th in total goals (8) and 19th in assists (6).   

• Dovlo also ranks first in the SoCon in total goals and total points.  

• Arnaud Tattevin is second on the team in goals with six, while also having two assists on the season.     

• Steven Hernandez is third on the team in total points with 10 (4G,2A).   

• The trio of Dovlo, Tattevin and Hernandez have scored 18 out of the 32 goals this season.   

• Julien Le Bourdoulous is the main playmaker on the team, he currently has two goals and four assists in the season.    

• Longo is third on the team in assists this year with three.   

• In the past four games, goalkeeper Seth Wilson has three clean sheets with 10 saves.  

• The Spartans boast 13 players that have scored points for the team this season.     

• The Spartans boast one of the best offenses in the nation and are ranked 11th in total goals (32),15th in total points (90), 16th in scoring offense (2.29), 24th in points per game (6.43), 32nd in total assists (26) and 42nd  in shots on goal (6.00).  

• The Spartans concluded the 2024 season 10-2-5 overall and 3-1-1 in SoCon and a shared Regular Season Title.    

• The squad boasts 11 returners from last season and nine seniors heading into this season.     

SCOUTING NC STATE  

• NC State ranks ninth in RPI and tenth in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. They are 4-1-2 in Quad 1 and Quad 2 games this year.   

• The Wolfpack are led by Donavan Phillips who leads the nation in goals with 15 and is third in the nation in points with 31. 

• Aidan Payne is NC State's second leading scorer this season with nine points (3G,3A).   

• Taig Healy leads the team in assists with eight this year. 

• Other notable offensive threats for the Wolfpack include Tyler Canton and Riley Mahoney, each with one goal and six assists.  

• Logan Erb is first in the ACC and third in the nation in shutouts with eight. 

• NC State was selected to finish eighth out of 15 teams in the ACC Preseason Coaches' Poll.  

• The Wolfpack is currently 7-1-1 at home this year. With their only loss at home coming from Virginia on Oct. 5.  

• Head Coach Mark Hubbard enters his second year with the Wolfpack going 20-6-7 in his time there.    

• NC State ranks top five in the nation in goal differential (31), save percentage (.938), scoring offense (2.54), shots per game (19.92), shutout percentage (.846) and team goals against average (.154).
