GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) Spartan Club announced today its fundraising results for the 2024-25 fiscal year. The total amount raised in overall cash was $2,242,290, the second-highest total in the history of UNCG Athletics. The Spartan Club also set an all-time high for number of donors, reaching 1,831. This surpassed the previous record of 1,775 set just last year.
"We are thankful to all of our supporters who support us via gifts to the scholarship fund which includes Spiro's Ball and the golf classic, team enrichment funds and athletic endowments," said Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Operations Mike Roach. "This level of commitment makes a strong statement about the support we have for our over 240+ student-athletes."
As part of ongoing efforts, and with UNCG Athletics opting in to the NCAA House settlement, which permits direct revenue sharing with student-athletes, the Spartan Club has established the Spartan Impact Fund. This new giving platform allows donors to provide additional, tax-deductible resources that help recruit, retain and support student-athletes in compliance with NCAA and institutional guidelines.
