GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) Spartan Club announced today its fundraising results for the 2025-26 fiscal year, totaling $2,272,379 in overall cash gifts. The total marks the second-highest fundraising year in UNCG Athletics history, surpassing last fiscal year's mark of $2,242,290. The Spartan Club also achieved its second-highest donor count with 1,780, trailing only last year's record total of 1,831.
"We are thankful to all of our supporters who invest in our student-athletes via the Spartan Athletic Scholarship Fund, participate in our fundraising events throughout the year, and provide impactful resources to our team enrichment funds and endowments," said Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Operations Mike Roach. "The continuous growth in financial support for Spartan student-athletes reflects the belief our donors have in the future of UNCG Athletics and their commitment to helping our programs compete at the highest level."
As the 2026-27 fiscal year begins, the Spartan Club will celebrate its 40
th anniversary, marking four decades of supporting UNCG student-athletes since its establishment in 1986. Throughout the year, the Spartan Club will recognize the founders and supporters who helped build its foundation while inviting all Spartans and the Greensboro community to be part of its next chapter through philanthropic support, volunteer opportunities, and participation in Spartan Club events as it looks toward the next 40 years of UNCG Athletics.
