GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) Director of Athletics Brian Mackin has announced a change in leadership for its men's basketball program.  
 

After five seasons at the helm, Head Coach Mike Jones' contract will not be renewed. Assistant Coach Bryant Stith will be named interim head coach.  
 

"We want to thank Coach Jones for his passion and commitment to our men's basketball program over the past five seasons," said Director of Athletics Brian Mackin. "Mike has led the program with integrity and class, while his program has also maintained academic success. We wish Mike and his family the best moving forward." 
 

Jones compiled a 93-69 overall record and a 57-33 mark in the Southern Conference (SoCon) during his five years leading the Blue & Gold.  
 

A national search will begin immediately.   
 

UNCG Athletics will be working with CSA Search & Consulting on the search. CSA is a market leader in Division I men's basketball searches, having led more than 35 Division I head men's basketball searches over the past five years.
