CSC Announces Academic All-District® Teams

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Julia Baeumken, Elle Burnette, Kasey McIlvaine and Sophie Lauture of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, announced on Tuesday.
 
To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and need to be in the lineup for 70% of rounds that include team scores or competed at the conference championships.

The Southern Conference (SoCon) had 32 student-athletes represented on the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® Team, including from UNCG (4), Furman (6), Mercer (6), Chattanooga (6), Western Carolina (4) and Wofford (6). 

Julia Baeumken
Business Administration
Senior | Kiel, Germany

• SoCon All-Tournament Team 
• Named SoCon Golfer of the Week on Oct. 22
• Finished T5th at SoCon Championships 74-78-71 (222)
• Competed in all 10 events on the season
• Finished fourth on the team with a 75.59 stroke average
• Notched a season-best 68 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Sept. 8
• Finished third at the UNCG Collegiate on Oct. 21 with a two-over-par (212)

Elle Burnette
Consumer, Apparel and Retail Studies   
Junior | Wilmington, N.C.

• CSC Academic All-District® Team (2025 & 2026)
• Competed in all 10 events on the season
• Recorded a season-best 72 in round one of the UNC Challenge Cup on April 4
• Finished 15^th at the Low Country Invitational behind a 14-over-par (230)

Kasey McIlvaine
Accounting  
Junior | Raleigh, N.C.

• CSC Academic All-District® Team (2025 & 2026)
• Finished third on the team with a 75.48 stroke average
• Competed in all 10 events on the season
• Carded a fifth-place finish at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational on Feb. 22 with a one-over-par (217)
• Notched her season-best round score of 71 in the final round of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

Sophie Lauture
Biology  
Sophomore | Concord, N.C.

• Competed in all 10 events on the season
• Notched a season-best 70 in the final round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Sept. 9
• Recorded a 16^th place finish at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate on Feb. 3

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes At-Large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.

The College Division is comprised of institutions from two-year colleges, Canadian institutions, and other institutions who are not affiliated with the NCAA and NAIA divisions.
