GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's basketball team and Head Coach
Jerod Haase have announced their 2026-27 season schedule.
"We have been intentional about building a national schedule that will challenge our team early with the intent of preparing us for league play," said Haase. "I have two goals for this non-conference season. First, I want to establish Bodford Arena as an elite home court advantage for our team. Second, I want a national schedule of high level competition that will help us later in the year. Our stated goal is to play our best basketball in March and we believe a difficult schedule will help us do that."
UNCG men's basketball will begin its first season under Haase, who comes to Greensboro with over 25 years of coaching experience, including stops at Stanford, University of Alabama at Birmingham, North Carolina and Kansas.
The Spartans wrapped up the 2025-26 slate 15-19 overall and 9-9 in The Southern Conference (SoCon). The team defeated VMI, 84-70 and Wofford, 75-72, in the SoCon Tournament but the season was concluded with a 81-75 loss to Furman in the Semifinal Round.
