GREENVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team took home second place at the Pirate Collegiate Classic hosted by East Carolina on Tuesday at Greenville Country Club.
 
Senior Kasey McIlvaine claimed a share of the individual title after tying for first with NC State golfer Marie Madsen.
 
TEAM

• UNCG carded a round three score of six-under-par (282), which was the best team score of the final round.
• The Spartans completed the three-round tournament with a team score of four-under-par (860) with round scores of 291-287-282, placing second out of 13 teams.
• The Spartans led the tournament with a 4.12 average in par fours and was third with 51 birdies.  
• NC State took home the team title with a 13-under-par (851) total.  

INDIVIDUAL

• McIlvaine climbed up three spots on the player leaderboard to tie for first following a four-under-par (68) third round score.
• She led the Spartans with an eight-under par (208) performance over 54 holes.
• Senior Elle Burnette followed with a three-under-par (213) tournament scorecard, while freshman Baker Hudson finished one-under-par (215).
• McIlvaine led the field with a 3.87 par four average and Burnette was second with a 3.97 average.
• Burnette tied for eighth and Hudson tied for 14^th out of the field of 78 competitors.
• Freshman Eva Brown carded three rounds of 75, tying for 42^nd with a nine-over-par (225).
• Freshman Wilma Siwers tied for 50^th place, following rounds of 79-74-76 with for a total of 13-over-par (229).
