9/2/2026 10:58:00 AM

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball Head Coach Janelle Breneman announced the addition of Madi Eberle as assistant coach.

Eberle joins the coaching staff as the pitching coach, bringing Division I coaching experience, a strong pitching development background and a student-athlete centered approach to player development.

"We are excited to welcome Madi to our staff," stated Coach Breneman. "Her pitching-development experience, knowledge of video and performance metrics and passion for teaching will be invaluable to our program. Madi is a competitive, loyal coach who will connect well and mentor our student-athletes. Her time at Murray State further strengthened her ability to develop pitchers and support student-athletes both on and off the field."

Eberle previously served as an assistant coach at Murray State University from 2024-26, where she led the development of the Racers' pitching staff through individualized bullpen plans, mechanical instruction, mental-performance training and game preparation. She also coordinated training and recovery plans, scouting reports, opponent analysis and video-based performance evaluation.

She coached Bre Haislip to a 2026 All-Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Second Team honor after posting a 3.09 ERA with an 11-8 record across 32 appearances and 21 starts. The 2026 season ended with a MVC runner up finish in the Tournament. Among the MVC, the Racers' pitching staff concluded the 2026 season third in ERA (3.77), shutouts (6) and WHIP (1.48).

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Eberle has worked as a pitching instructor since 2022. She provides individualized instruction to athletes, including personalized workouts and schedules developed in partnership.

A four-year softball student-athlete at Southern Illinois University (SIU), Eberle earned MVC MVP honors in 2023 and was named MVC Scholar-Athlete in 2023 and 2024. She was a member of the Dean's List for all eight semesters of her undergraduate career.

Eberle earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from SIU in 2024, with a minor in American Sign Language. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Human Development and Leadership at Murray State. She holds certifications as an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer in CPR, AED and First Aid.
