2019 (Senior): Played in 31 matches, appearing in all 112 sets … recorded 411 digs, averaging 3.67 per set … recorded 26 service aces … recorded 55 assists throughout the season … double-digit digs in 25 matches … went for 15 digs and five assists in the season opener against NCCUl (Aug. 30) … recorded one kill against William & Mary (Sept. 13) as well as one against ETSU (Oct. 26) … season-high 23 digs against Wofford (Oct. 5) and again against Furman (Nov. 12) ...recorded three service aces and 20 digs against Iona (Sept. 14) … season-high seven assists against Furman (Nov. 12) … 19 digs against Wake Forest (Aug. 31) … 21 digs against UT Arlington (Sept. 7) … 18 digs and two assists against Chattanooga (Nov. 9) … finished her career as a Spartan with 17 digs against ETSU (Nov. 22).
2018 (JUNIOR): One of four UNCG players to appear in at least 100 sets (101) on the slate … ranked in the top five of team statistics in service aces (23—1st), digs (239—3rd) and digs / set (2.37—5th) … had her first of 11 double-digit dig performances in the season-opener versus Air Force (Aug. 24) where she tallied 13 … tallied 10 digs in a three-set match against Maryland (Aug. 25) … made her impact felt for the UNCG defense against Maryland-Eastern Shore (Sept. 1) with 11 digs and a service ace … responsible for 10 digs in a four-set victory over Winthrop (Sept. 7) … had back-to-back double figure dig outings versus Chattanooga (Sept. 28) and Samford (Sept. 29), finishing with 10 digs each … came through with 13 digs at Furman (Oct. 12) before setting a single-season match-high 16 digs at Wofford (Oct. 13) … posted 12 digs apiece as UNCG split wins against Western Carolina (Oct. 24) and Chattanooga (Oct. 27) … ended the regular season on a high note with 15 digs in a 3-1 victory over Furman (Nov. 10).
2017 (Sophomore): Played in 30 matches making 17 starts … recorded 236 digs, averaging 2.21 per set … recorded nine service aces … double-digit digs in nine matches … season-high 17 digs against American (Sept. 8) … went for 15 digs in the season opener with UMass Lowell (Aug. 25) … recorded kills in back-to-back matches against North Carolina A&T (Sept. 2) and Delaware State (Sept. 2) … season-high two kills against Elon (Sept. 16) … 15 digs against UMass Lowell (Aug. 25) and Chattanooga (Oct. 21) … recorded 34 assists throughout the year … season-high four assists against American (Sept. 8) … multiple assists in eight matches … 13 digs against Chattanooga (Nov. 17) … 12 digs against Morgan State (Aug. 26) and High Point (Sept. 15) … went for 10 digs against Charlotte (Aug. 29), Furman (Oct. 7) and ETSU (Nov. 18) … two service aces against American (Sept. 8) and Furman (Oct. 7).
2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 20 matches making her lone start against Furman (Sept. 24)… Played in 56 sets… Earned 87 digs, averaging 1.55 per set… Added six kills and six assists in her rookie season… Chipped in five service aces… Recorded her first career dig against High Point (Sept. 2)… Scored her first career kill in a three-set victory over North Carolina A&T (Sept. 10) in the Spartan-Aggie Invitational… Earned double-digit digs in three matches... Went for a career-high 12 digs twice, first against North Carolina A&T (Sept. 10) and Charlotte (Oct. 19), both were 3-0 victories for UNCG… Added 11 digs in her start against Furman (Sept. 24)… Recorded her first assist against High Point (Sept. 2)… Season-high two assists against Furman (Sept. 24) and Charlotte (Sept. 19), both victories… Recorded a season-high two kills against Ball State (Sept. 16).
Prep: Howell earned four letters in volleyball at Rockwall-Heath High School, under head coach Skylar Commacho in Texas … a highly-decorated athlete, Howell earned all-district honors three times ... was a second team All-District Selection in 2013, first team All-District in 2014, before earning team and district MVP in 2015 ... member of the Dallas Premier Volleyball Club, Howell helped her team earn second place at nationals in 2013, before leading the club to a first-place finish and the Lonestar Qualifier in 2015 ... rounded out her high school athletic career earning a letter in track and field, participating in the 300 hurdles … member of the superintendent council, National Honor Society and is her current class president.
