Made two appearances on the year ... tossed a single shutout inning against Maryland Eastern Shore (3.7), striking out a pair.

2019 (Freshman)
Made eight appearances over the course of the season for UNCG, including three starts … ranked in the top five of two categories including earned run average (2nd-3.00) and opposing batting average (2nd-.185) … debuted against Penn (March 2) where he toed the rubber for 0.2 innings, allowed one hit and one walk while striking out a pair of Quaker hitters … had his first collegiate start against Princeton (March 10), logging 3.2 innings, allowing one hit, two runs, four walks and recording four strikeouts … overcame a difficult outing against Western Carolina (March 30) by recording four strikeouts and scattering five hits in a start against High Point (April 3) … logged two innings at North Carolina (April 9), recording one strikeout along the way … made his third start of the season against Winthrop (May 14), earning his first career win as he tossed 5.2 innings, allowed four hits, surrendered one run and recorded a single-game season-high five strikeouts … came out of the bullpen against Wofford (May 18) for 0.1 innings, where he allowed one hit, one walk and record one strikeout … made his final appearance of the season against Mercer (May 24) in the SoCon Tournament … silenced Bear hitters over 1.2 innings where he did not allow a run or a hit, while striking out one in the no decision.

Prior to UNCG 
Best was named on the 2018 Perfect Game Preseason All-American and All-Region in his senior season … pitched 26.1 innings with a 3.99 ERA with 38 strikeouts and batted .364 with three doubles, nine RBIs and three stolen bases in his senior season … was named on the WWBA World Championship All-Tournament Team with a 0.18 ERA pitching 38 innings scattering 13 hits with 26 strikeouts in his junior season.
