Junior Season (2009): Started in centerfield in 48 of the 49 games in 2009 ... was a preseason second-team All-SoCon member ... hit six triples to lead the SoCon for the second consecutive season ... ended the season on a team-high 12 game hitting streak...recorded at least one hit in 40 of his 48 games on the year ... was tied for third on the team with a .299 batting average and led the team in hits (60) and RBI (36) ... had his best game of the year in a 13-4 route against Duke (4/8) when he went 3-4 with four RBI and three runs scored ... was also in the top-5 on the team in slugging percentage, on-base percentage, runs scored, doubles, home runs and total bases.
Sophomore Season (2008): Started in the outfield for the Spartans in 59 of the 60 games in 2008 ... hit .350 on the season with 78 hits in 223 at bats ... led the SoCon with six triples ... had a season-high four hits against Connecticut (3/1), including a homerun, as he recorded five RBI ... hit two doubles and one triple against College of Charleston (5/4) on his way to another 5 RBI game ... had 42 RBI on the season and scored 42 runs ... was among the team leaders with 126 putouts.
Freshman Season (2007): Got the starting nod in 46 of 54 appearances in 2007 ... in his 159 plate appearances, he knocked in 17 RBI, seven doubles, three triples, and three homeruns ... totaled 26 runs and 55 total bases ... went 7-for-7 in stolen bases ... second on the team in triples ... fifth on the team with 115 putouts ... went 3-for-6 with two runs, two RBI, a double, and a homerun in the 9-8 victory over Wofford (Apr. 21) ... tallied two hits against Furman (Apr. 7), Western Carolina (Apr. 14), The Citadel (May 6), and Appalachian State (May 17).
High School: Attended Arundel High School in Gambrels, MD for two years after transferring from Riverdale Baptist ... played for coach Bernie Walter at Arundel ... led the 2006 Wildcats to a 23-3 record and their 10th state title in school history and first since 2001 ... finished the year ranked No. 25 nationally by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper ... selected as an honorable mention on the 2006 Louisville Slugger High School All American team ... was named first team All-Arundel County, all-state and all-league ... also selected first team All-Metro by the Baltimore Sun and honorable mention All-Met by the Washington Post in 2006 ... hit .480 with a county-record six triples, four doubles, five homers, 36 runs, 23 RBIs and 16 walks as the Wildcats' leadoff hitter ... finished his career at Arundel with the highest career average (.542) and the most triples (10) in school history ... had the honor of playing in the Brooks Robinson High School All-Star game at Camden Yards ... also competed in golf and soccer.
