UNC Greensboro

Kiara Porter has been at UNCG since February 2018. A native of Yorktown, Va., Porter earned her bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015. Porter graduated cum laude from the VCU School of Business. She earned a Masters of Education in Sport Leadership (Sport Administration), also from VCU in 2017.

Porter is also a decorated former student-athlete who holds 11 VCU women's track and field records. She earned a pair of gold medals as a member of the 4 x 400-meter relay team competing internationally for Team USA and advanced to the semifinals of the 400 meters at the 2016 Olympic trials. 
 
Porter was a five-time All-American in the 400 meters, three-time Academic All-American, and nationally-ranked in multiple events upon her graduation, having a personal record.
 
On the academic side, Porter was an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee, named a recipient of the 2015 Atlantic 10 Postgraduate Scholarship and a member of the National Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars. She ended her career as a four-time USTFFCCCA All-Academic honoree.
