Pitt Community College (2008-09): Played two seasons for coach Tommy Eason at Pitt Community College ... helped lead his team to a NJCAA I Region X Championship as a freshman ... started in 35 of the 37 games he played in as a sophomore ... hit .364 as a sophomore, which was third best on the team ... recorded 46 RBI and scored 30 runs as well ... also had a .568 slugging percentage as a sophomore and was a perfect 7-7 on stolen base attempts ... hit .293 as a freshman as he started in 21 of the 31 games he saw action ... hit 19 RBI and scored 11 runs during his first season ... also had a .386 on-base percentage.

Summer Ball: Played this past summer for coach Dale Ijames and the Kernersville Bulldogs in Kernersville, N.C. ... helped lead his team to the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League tournament title ... hit .270 over the summer with 20 RBI and 16 runs scored.

High School: Played four years for coach Alan Ashkinazy at nearby Grimsley High School ... helped lead his team to the Metro 4A Conference Championship as a senior ... was named tournament MVP of the 71st High School Easter Tournament during his junior season ... represented Greensboro at the Colt World Series as a sophomore and freshman ... also played two years of football as a tight end and defensive end.
