Redshirt Junior Season (2009): Started the first 31 games for the Spartans at first base, catcher and designated hitter before an injury forced him to miss the rest of the season ... he led the team in batting average (.343), slugging percentage (.524), on base percentage (.459) and home runs (4) before his injury ... went 4-5 with an RBI and two runs scored against Wofford (4/11) as he fell just a triple shy of hitting for the cycle ... had four RBI against Elon (4/5), including a three-run home run...hit his first career triple against Princeton (2/27).
Redshirt Sophomore Season (2008): Started five of the 18 games that he played in ... switched between first base and designated hitter in his five starts...had eight walks compared to just seven strikeouts ... hit a homerun against ACC foes NC State (4/23) and Wake Forest (4/29) ... had a season-high five at-bats against Georgia Southern (5/10).
Redshirt Freshman Season (2007): Got the starting nod in seven games ... appeared in a total of 29 games for the Spartans ... had a season-high four at-bats against College of Charleston (May 12) ... tallied a run scored in games versus Jacksonville (May 10) and Princeton (Mar. 17).
Freshman Season (2006): Earned a redshirt and sat out the season.
High School: Two-year letterwinner as a catcher and outfielder for coach Tim Saunders at Dublin Coffman High School ... twice selected as team most valuable player ... first and second team Ohio Capital Conference selection ... earned first team all-district accolades... an all-state honorable mention ... also played three years of summer ball for Legion Post 614 B for coach Scott Sutherland.
